Arbitration & Mediation
Vaughn & Vaughn’s experienced trial attorneys have effectively handled numerous arbitration and mediation cases before a wide variety of private and government tribunals, including FINRA and the NASD. Vaughn & Vaughn handles a wide variety of employment–related matters. We have extensive experience responding to investigations by California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing, lodging Complaints with the DFEH, litigating lawsuits brought under the Private Attorney General Act (PAGA), wage and hour cases, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, whistle blower actions, and advising on potential controversies before litigation is filed.
In January of 2014, the Fourth Appellate District of the California Court of Appeal, Division Three, published Mendoza v. Western Medical Center in which Vaughn & Vaughn represented the employer who succeeded in overturning an improper jury verdict.
In an advisory capacity, our goal is to resolve employment matters before they enter the litigation arena. We assist our clients with a spectrum of employment matters–including counseling on wage and hour issues, workplace investigations and advising on pre and post termination issues for employers and executives. Our trained legal team also conducts sexual harassment training required by California State law for managers, and non–managerial employees as well.
